The cranes on Desmond Road were too far away to photograph and barely watchable through binoculars. However, the estuary across from the Reserve Office had several hundred cranes. Some of them were close to the walking path. Sue and I walked along this path and found a nice bench with a great view. We settled-in and photographed cranes on the ground. There were several small groups (3 - 5 birds) that flew in to the area and made for some nice aerial shots too. It was sunny, warm, and little-to-no wind.
