2020 02-09 Yolo ByPass

A drive around the loop at Yolo ByPass on a very windy day. I estimated gusts from the north to be 30-45 mph. Needless to say, there were not many birds around or other forms of wildlife. Dust was blowing all over, especially when other cars/trucks went speeding down the dirt roads.
Highlights included some interesting views of the wetlands in the wind, a couple of harriers hunting, lots of coots finding shelter in the lee side of the ponds, a few California gulls battling the breeze in the air, and a couple of great egrets standing on the protected side of the canals and reeds.
