Some of the very shallow water ponds from last time (2020 02-28 Yolo ByPass) have dried up and consequently the massive dunlin flocks that created such wonderful murmurations were absent. Some dunlin still sat on the water in an adjacent pond, but much of it looked too deep for them to wade. Nonetheless, this trip was an exceptional time to photograph a yellow-headed blackbird, a deceased Castor canadensis (Beaver), and quite a few very nice American avocets.
