2021 05-15 Grizzly Island

A post-migration early summer trip to the Grizzly Island Wildlife Area. Hardly a goose to be seen. Major waterways were flowing but wetland field water was scarce. Outside the reserve we photographed a hunting kite which had to deal with a territorial red-winged blackbird. Mute geese were seen in the wetlands, and the scenery was very nice too.
